Hi all!
Just signed up. I met Mr.Jitters at the Morrisville Gun show Saturday and he turned me on to the new sight.(that's new to me)
I'm hopping this is kind of a local New England area sight,
being most of the posters are local. I've got something up my sleve I've wanted to do locally with Millsurp shooters for a long time.
I've been a Cowboy action shooter for the last 12-13 years or so.
I know and love the game but I would like to do something different. Real different! So stay posted, I'll be in and out. Mostly in the evenings EST.

Welcome Sarge! Actually, we are a national site as a lot of our loyal members here are from the southwest. Did you sell that Mosin-Nagant yet? Feel free to post it in the for sale section here.

No, I swaped it for a 1903-A3 Remington 1943 all matching, 2 grove barrel. I've got more Mosins that will be going. I Don't have an FFL or C&R. I would like to sell them localy. Face to Face NH,Vt, Maine.
I looked around and it's a nice set up you got here.

Sgt, welcome to the forum!!

Sarge....you don't need an FFL or C&R to sell them to an FFL holder. All you need is to receive a copy of their license before you ship to them. Just so you know......A lot od shop keepers will try to tell you otherwise, but hey are just trying to drum up business for themselves by charging you fees for running the guns through their books unnecessarily.

What realy is the law on shipping firearms? I've read so much on line that it's confusing. UPS up here told me that I need an FFL license and can only shipp to another FFL. I know that's bull because I used to have an FFL (Pre Clinton). The USPS laws look shady to me also. And FEDX? I live in the ever becomeing more Leberal New Hampshire.

Its FFL to FFL only for USPS. For the others, it is you to an FFL and you need a copy of their FFL to ship. You can only ship to the address on the FFL. Rifles and shotguns must be broken down so they cannot fire. Handguns must be sent overnight. The only other thing you need to watch out for is state and local laws. Watch for states where they have firearms owners id cards like Ill. and NJ. Or states like Ca. where the DoJ gets involved requiring transfers thru FFLs. But for most states, you don't have to fool around with that crap. I think you can find all that "local law" info on the batfe web site. These days, they send it to us on a cd. I just got my update about two weeks ago.

Well we are luckier that most. We did have a bill past a few years back to protect our established shooting ranges. There were people buying houses next to ranges, then trying to close them down because of the noise. Can you believe that? It grandfathered them. Now prospective buyers have to be informed of anything like that near the property.

I had my eye on the Mosin, but you probably noticed that. I just couldn't spring for the bucks right now. Ahh well, I'm sure whoever ended up with that will be a happy camper. That's a nice sniper Mosin. Real nice.

Thanks for the kind word.
I do have a Finnish M-24 Lotta Savard that will be leaving the collection soon. Let me know if you want first dibs.
The sniper got traded for a nice Remington 003-A3 1943.
All matching too.
