There is a renewal form and a certification of citzenship form included in the package. WHO can certify my citzenship? Can my wife certify my citzenship? Does it have to be a notary public? There's nowhere on the form that says it has to be a notary.
And as a side comment...this has to be one of the DUMBEST forms I have ever seen. Just what do they think they are accomplishing with this silliness? Do they think someone who wants these guns for illegal use isn't gonna make up a fictious name for verification?
I notice that they also have an area on the regular application for telephone number and e-mail address. Do these have to be filled out too?

| 1.You certify that you are a citizen. I know. Its a stupid way of doing things. But that is all there is too it. 2. Yes, they might need the email or phone number if they need to contact you. |

Let me get this straight. I certify MYSELF to be a US citizen?!?!?!?!
Oh BROTHER!!!! It goes beyond stoopid. What a waste of a tree and ink to print this forum. And I'm not even a treehuger. 
On the telephone number thing. There are two locations where they ask for it. One is at the very end of the form where you sign it and date it. The other loocation is on the other side and they ask for business phone, fax, 24 hour emergency phone, and e-mail address. That is the part I was wondering about. Do they need all that too? Or is that for a regular dealer that sells guns? |

| Just use your home phone. The form is meant for dealers, but they use it for everyone. And yes, the certification is stupid, but the can get you deported if you aren't a citizen or the can simply pull your license, if you aren't, depending on your status.I agree though. It is a waste of good wood. |
